Sci-Fi Story Reflection
The idea of having to write a story can be terrifying for many of us, especially when you have to accomplish some expectations and don't have an idea of what you want the theme of your story to be. We were asked to write a sci-fi story with characters and technology from an advanced time period and to perform a digital narration were we showed the story. The process of both things took me around a week or two. For the traditional narration I first decided what I wanted to write about and chose the characters that I wanted to appear in my story. I brainstormed the things that would make the story more interesting and engaging and finally I started writing. While I wrote I incorporated techniques like dialogue to make it more interesting and once I was done, I had two friends pier edit it and correct it. However, completing the digital narrative was a little more challenging, first I chose how I wanted to show my story and selected some images from the internet, and then I arranged them in order and drew the things I had to add to the images to properly show the conflict of the story. Finally I put it all together in IMovie, added the narration, sound and music effects.
Even though the two projects are very similar and based on the same story they are very different and the process of making them is very different. For example, in the traditional narrative you have to think about creating the story, what am I going to write about? You have to create a psychological and physical description so that the reader can picture the characters without even seeing them. And of course the biggest difference is that one is written and the other one is a creative visual project. However, the main point of writing a story is entertaining the audience, even if he or she is reading the story or watching the visual project. When you write you always want to create an image in the audience's mind. Finally, I would like to add that even if both projects are very different from one another, you are always telling the same story.
The process of writing a story is long and exhausting, sometimes it can take so close to a breaking point where you just want to stop writing and lay in your bed, however with everything in life, after a hard storm comes a rainbow. One of the main difficulties I had while I was thinking about what I wanted my story to be about was deciding which societal issue to the story and keep it engaging. To accomplish my goal I used metaphors, similes and dialogue between the characters. This only happened to me whileI was writing the traditional narrative, but once I was done,seeing my story, which took me so long to complete, printed and ready to hand in was one of the biggest pleasures of the whole project. In the digital narration, more difficulties were presented to me because I had to decide what I wanted to do, narrate the story and do the voices of all the characters, this took me a very long time. The moment you picture all the process you went through to get to the point were you finish completely the digital narration, and you realize that you can finally go to bed, is definitely the most satisfying moment of all the project. To conclude, I would like to thank Ms Bachelor for helping and teaching me throughout the year, even if we didn't get along so well, her lessons and tasks are the ones that helped me accomplish this story.

A delusion to How
How I met your mother, I love to beam
Every day I attain my lovely home,
With the urgent wishes to glimpse the scene
I use either Netflix or Google Chrome.
When in whimsical lines I think I´ll pee,
Romantic scenes also use to peek in.
And the characters voice is music for me;
Even if some characters are always mean, I love them as far as my soul can reach.
Lily, Robin, Barney, Marshall and Ted;
who importance of friendship to me teach,
Make me all afternoons jump into bed.
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
I watch the show and the show touches me.
